Quickly removes and cleans thermoset silicone-based release agents—which often cause insufficient cleaning—as well as urethane and PVC resins adhered to molds.
Simply pour heated Katakurin onto the mold, let it sit for a set period of time, then remove it and rinse with water. This allows for safe maintenance without damaging the metal surface.
Designed with the environment and workers in mind, it does not fall under the Organic Substances Control Law, the Specially Designated Substances Control Law, the PRTR Law, or the Poisonous and Deleterious Substances Control Law. It is also not classified as a hazardous material under the Fire Service Act, so you can use it without worrying about specified quantities or flash points.

Before cleaning, resin and release agent are firmly adhered to the mold surface, but Katakurin can cleanly remove them without damaging the metal substrate.
[Test Piece] A stainless steel plate coated with TPU powder was heat-pressed 10 times to simulate the surface layer of a slush molding mold
[Cleaning Conditions] Liquid temperature: 75℃ / Cleaning time: 60 minutes
[Evaluation Method] Visually evaluated cleaning performance
・Preheat Katakurin to approximately 75–80℃ in a stainless steel tank.
When heating, do not use direct heat from an electric heater; instead, use steam or a water bath.
・Pour Katakurin into the mold and use while heating. To prevent increased odor and evaporation, and to minimize the decomposition of the cleaning agent components, do not allow the liquid temperature to exceed 95℃.
・Afterward, remove Katakurin from the mold and rinse with water.
[Important Notice Regarding Materials]
This productcorrodes copper, aluminum, magnesium, and other materials. Do not use it on molds or components made of these materials (or alloys containing them). (We recommend using it in tanks or molds made of iron or stainless steel.)
