Introduction

SL-2310U is a cleaning agent for bell cups and paint guns used in the painting process.

What is the "Bell cup"?

A coating method called electrostatic coating is used in the coating process of automobiles. Electrostatic coating is a method in which the object to be coated (the car body) is positively charged and the paint is negatively charged to make the paint adhere to the car body.

A bell cup is attached to the paint outlet of the painting robot. As the name suggests, the cup is shaped like a bell.

This bell cup rotates at 5,000 rpm, and the centrifugal force and electrostatic force cause the paint to become fine and charged. The bell cup has many holes of a few microns in diameter, and the atomized paint (negative) is blown out and then attracted to the car body (positive), where it is applied.
Bell cups are often cleaned by soaking them in thinner, but once the paint inside the opening of the bell cup has dried, it cannot be removed because it is not soluble in thinner.
However, if the paint inside the bell cup opening dries, it cannot be removed because it is not soluble in thinner.
Therefore, in some cases, ultrasonic cleaners are used in combination with immersion in thinner during cleaning, but using solvents with low flash point (the flash point of common thinners is 9℃) in ultrasonic cleaners is extremely dangerous because of the risk of fire.
